History

Established in 1991.

Aster's Ethiopian Restaurant originally opened in 1991 at the intersection of Rutland & Parkfield in North Austin. The owner's husband was transferred to Virginia State, and they moved to Richmond in 1996. After four years, she returned to Austin, and with the support of her wide clientele, opened a catering business. She re-opened Aster's Ethiopian Restaurant in 2006 at 2804 N I-35. With more than 20 years of success, we at Asters look forward to serving you soon!
