We stopped by after a sad football game, and the amazing food immediately cheered us up! We got the combo plate, every single dish was so delicious. For veggies, I personally recommend the potato, cabbage and lentil. For meat, tender lamb and chicken.

Aster's lunch buffet on the weekend is the absolute best way to get your fill of Ethiopian food. They have several vegetarian and vegan stews that are flavorful, spiced, and hearty. The meat dishes are especially flavorful and can't be beat. I like having both injera and rice with my stews.

I really enjoyed the lunch buffet at Aster's. They had a large selection of vegetarian and meat options for everyone's dietary restrictions within my group. Everything I tried was very flavorful and nicely spiced. For the price, I think it's hard to beat Aster's when it comes to Ethiopian food in Austin.

This is how you run a restaurant...the food is probably the best Ethiopian in Austin, the service is amazing and the employees are nothing but friendly. But to top it all off they have one of the best lemon pound cakes I've ever had. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves Ethiopian or wants to try it.

They are honestly the best Ethiopian food I have ever had.. I'm sure a visit to Ethiopia would maybe surpass them... the Dorowat is spicy and authentic. The service is friendly. The place is unassuming but dont be fooled. I am so proud at how good this place is....
